Young Start-Up Companies Have Hiring Needs Too

The job market continually has new companies which have been formed to meet a market need or niche. The hiring units may be an expanding section of an existing larger company or a completely and newly formed independent company. Either needs and uses new hires to support and staff the needed management and operations staffing.

Take the expanding division example of an existing company expanding into a new market with a unique product to compliment their existing segment base in the current market place. Financing is thru the mother corporation and is limited only by budget restrictions for the business. They are of course supported by the Finance, Accounting, HR and Legal department resources of the corporate headquarters.

Naturally the framework then needs to be filled with operations, R&D, Quality and central Managers. Once established, they begin to hire working staff and operations personnel. Just think of the employment possibilities and opportunities immediately available for outside job seekers. Purchasing begins and a collection of experienced engineers and designers come onboard. Then Marketing, Legal and hundreds of others in various capacities are being hired.

The other possibility is a very tiny company formed by a central core of senior managers and financed thru venture capital and/or private financing. By necessity, each person is functioning with multiple responsibilities. This situation offers more opportunities for a new hire and often higher responsibilities than those in a more complete organization. On one hand – many less hires occur in this situation, but numerically there are hundreds of these ventures occurring Nationwide weekly.

The currently unemployed need to be aware of these type of situations due to the opportunities that they provide.
